"It's suspended there to remind us before we pop the champagne and celebratethe new year, to stop and reflect on the year that has gone by.
To remember both our triumphs and our missteps, our promises made and broken.
The times we opened ourselves up to great adventures or closed ourselves down for fear of getting hurt.
Because that's what new year is all about-getting another chance.
Get chance to forgive, to do better, to do more, to give more, to love more.
And stop worrying about what if and start embracing what would be.
So when that ball drops at midnight, and it will drop.
Let's remember to be nice to each other, kind to each other.
And not just tonight but whole year long."
~by New Year's Eve
I fullfilled something last year and made my life different since then.
Also I got cold feet and made some stupid mistakes without contemplation which led to irrecoverable consequences.
The coming year indeed is a brand new start, not a second chance for cleaning up my own mess but a closure of letting the old past be gone.
Usually at the end of the year, I make a bunch of resolutions on a long long list.
For 2012, I am not greedy. I only put three things on my list:
Get my master degree, Be truely happy, And learn how to love and be loved.
Hope it will be a better year and it definitely will be.
